Movie Story : The film centers on Polly (Dakota Fanning), a woman adrift in her early 30s. Living alone in a large, isolated home, Polly is mired in apathy and depression, ignoring phone calls and barely functioning. Her self-loathing inertia is shattered one snowy night by the arrival of a mysterious, elderly woman (Kathryn Hunter, unsettling in a small but pivotal role).
