Movie Story : The film centers on Murugan (Dhanush), the son of Sivanesan (Rajkiran), who runs the beloved, eponymous "Idli Kadai" (Idli Shop) in their village. Driven by capitalist ambition and a desire for more than the meager revenue of the family business, Murugan leaves his home and father to become a successful chef executive abroad.
